You KNOW We are just having some fun. If you need to do this , give one of us a shout (phone call) and we will tell you how to do this starting from scratch. You will be successfull , you just need to start over and fresh. Once you get it working you will be very happy. just too much to type and parts will be needed. Not any big amount of Money tho...:) BT

got bigger problems

Put new main and rod bearings in today. Worked great until I took it for the test drive. Rods are banging around and sounds like the motor is gone. Ouch:mad: . Might have to put my 350 in until I get it rebuilt. Might swap it out for a GN setup? Will see what happens.

Big Bummer....

Man sorry to hear that. Least of your problems now? Let us know when running and we will get you "wired".

Damn.... Really was looking forward to the fireworks show tho...:p

SHES A WHISTLING NOW

Put a new crank in it. Replaced all bearings again. NEw chain. Found out there was no cam button on the car. Replaced. Rebuilt the water pump and. wow SHe moves so fast. I couldnt even keep the tires planted. What a motor. The only problem left is the tranny and the rough idle that I have now. someone said to reset the iac but i dont know how to do this??? can I do it without a scantool???;)

The only way I know of to test it without a scantool to see if it works at all is to jumper the ALDL like you are going to pull malf codes with the ign on/eng off and listen for it to cycle in and out...It is just a very small electric stepper motor that turns a plunger in and out over a hole....You should be able to hear it buzz or hum as it cycles through the range of movement...

Can you tell me which wires to check???

I also wanted to know if there is a way to check it with a digital voltmeter?? What wires to probe??? what kind of voltage should be there?? Which wires do I probe to find out if i am getting power from the ecm??? ANy info helps I will try the beforementioned procedure:cool:

hmm....don't really know the answer to that...I would just try the test that I mentioned in the other post and then if you don't hear anything from there, then worry about it then... ;)
