Only if it is for the 82-mid 84 700 with 27 splines. All later 700's have 30 splines. You can also use a 200c converter in place of early 700 and 200-4R converters.

Someone out there doesn’t happen to know if the 4L80e uses the same converter as the 700? I know that the 700, 350 and 400 all have 30 spline inputs and that you can actually use a 700 converter on a 350c and 350 and 400 converters interchange, and since the 4L80 is really just a 400 with another planetary set I’d be surprised if it had a different input spline count, but I can’t seem to confirm that.

4l80e does not interchange with anything else. it is a BIG, heavy converter. I cannot confirm the 350c--700 converter interchange either but admit that it might be possible.

I looked into the 350C converter a little before, and from what I found out, the 350C, and the 2004R share the same converter. So, it should fit the early 700s.

With that in mind,a D5 convertor and a TH350C would not be bad combo..
(if you don't mind losing the overdrive)

That's what I have in mind for my next project. At least for the time being. Then I will go to the 2004r. Hmm, I wonder if the 350C could hold up to 450 rwhp with a 9" 3000 stall converter. It might be fun to find out.

I’d be shocked to find that the 350c was the only 350 or 400 varient that didn’t use a 30 spline input…

Looking at Summitracing, it does look like they have different part numbers for the 350c, and the 2004r converters. I just wish I had the tranny out so that I could find out for sure. I don't want to find out last minute, and mess up all my plans.

The hub diameter is totally different between the 200c/200-4R/700-R4 to 350/400 converters. They will NOT swap. They may have the same 30 spline but the bushings in the pump are not the same diameter even.
