Man this what i like. A bounch of member speaking FACTS. I enjoy reading this post and the only thing i can say is. I am VERY glad i bought a T 71 GTQ 3 bolt turbo. I have push the 4.1 stage II motor project for next year summer.

Looking to go 9`s with a .030 109 motor. with a 38 under the seat.:D

Plans have change, I am now going with a CPT 70 BB Q-trim. Looking to run high 9`s with a 3650lbs car. This trin did not have a influence on my decision. I could not get the T71 GTQ in-time, so since the T 70 was available for a little more i bought it.

I believe that is the same turbo as a turbonetics 70BB Qtrim.
But not sure
I believe they have a new super wheel, but not sure if its available on the t4 frame turbo

This is a Champion headed car with a small hyd roller. We installed the GTQ, turned the boost down to the TSM required 24psi! and the car responded with a LEAN 558 RWHP made another pull at 24psi after some tuning and topped out at 573 RWHP ( I cant remember the torque figures). The owner didnt want to lean on it as he said he'd rather save it for BG. Kind of an impressive gain if you ask me and I suspect we could have made 600 or close at that boost with a little more tuning!

Bill what kind of converter and stall speed are you using with a combo like that?

It seems to me that with these turbos and bb set ups stall speed on the converter does not need to be more than 3800 or in that range. What do you think?

I just want to say my gtq71 is removed from the car and the LTE-70 P trim is on and i expect to pick up at least 30 rwhp. i will be dynoing this, within a few weeks. This is all four bolt stuff .81 housing. so stay tuned. Two iron head mid 10 sec cars lost .2-3 secs with the 71 gtq constant with no other changes, but due to many variables there will be a back to back dyno run with no other changes

Maybe it's the tuner.

The P vs the GTQ is last years debate.
Lets talk GTQ vs X Trim. :D

If i can't get the gtq to work do you think the x will? I will probably lose another second! Well when the dfi keeps pulling fuel out to maintain the same a/f ratio when the gtq is on what does that tell ya? (HInt:The turbo is not making the juice :( )

I guess my Stage 2 Car will be super slow with twin GTQs or X Trims. ;)

3650 :d

9.33 @ 144 109 block and PTE GTQ 71

What type of cylinder heads are you running (irons or aluminums) and what is the flow numbers you are getting on these heads? Lastly what compression is the motor and how much boost are you running to achieve those awesome numbers? You and Dave are taking these 109 motors to places that have people scratching their heads.

I went 5.86 @ 123 (eighth mile) with my 70-GTQ in my full weight Geo. :)

I don't know who to believe. I talk to one Innovative and they try to sell me a 72 X trim dual BB. Turbonetics vender wanted to get me into a 76 Q trim BB. Precision thinks that maybe a 72 Q trim is what I could use. My kid thinks the 20" box fan in the garage might pick me up some (easy now, he's only 6).

Where do I throw money next? Who wants to blow sunshine up my rear and up-sell me something next? Until mean Scott lets me into the hot TSM (Turbo Street Metro) class, I'm status quo.

Hey Roger, I have a pair of battery operated GE hair dryers with the heater coil removed for maximum cooling. Since Postal is not going to have his car ready this year,I can offer it to you. I am willing to trade for some stage parts. Remember, you can run open headers with these babies, they are battery operated, no exhaust needed,no back pressure, very efficient. This will not last. Hurry!!!!!
