8.5 Ring and Pinion

I am helping a friend out with his 383 powered cutlass with 8.5 rear and we are looking for a set of gears 3.73 or lower. It currently has a set of 4.56 gears and he wants to swap the gears out but is being a cheap skate. So if you guys have w set of good used gears laying around, let me know what you want for them.

I am removing 3.73 gears this weekend from one of my street cars and they only have ~500 miles since I installed them.

If these are not low enough, I have a set of 3.90 gears on the shelf used only a couple times at the track.

Always experimenting as usual!

Make me a reasonable offer on either or both.

Do you need to change the carrier if your going from 4.xx to 3.xx or is it only from 3.xx to 2.xx

I thought the 2.xx ring carrier was different from the 3.xx+ carrier?

2.73 up to 5.13 uses same 3 series carrier
