8" Coan convertor for PG or TH

Selling the convertor in the Metro. It is a Coan unit and appx. 6 years old, raced for 4 seasons. 2 in the Metro (counting this year) and 2 years behind a small block chevy in a bracket car. Behind my Stage 1 in the Metro, it stalls to around 4900. It's in a powerglide but has turbo splines so it will work in a TH-400 as well. Very strong convertor with balloon plate on the stator side. Like all later Coan convertors, this unit has no need for a bushed stator support as it is supported in the convertor. Needs nothing as far as I can tell, works very well, just too much for my car.

Can it be restalled down to about 4000?

Yes but it may need a different stator installed, they can usually go around 500rpm I believe. I would contact your preferred convertor shop directly about it.
