80 Malibu Wagon

Thanks guys.

Quick update:
Picked up the rebuilt trans yesterday
Installed 90lb valve springs & new intake seals
Installed new timing chain, gm unit
Today we installed new rubber felpro rear main seal

Going to let the RTV set up from the rear main this week.
Next weekend I am going to hopefully assemble the engine. Then I just have to get the car to my house and clean up under the hood & install everything. Hopefully around mid/late april it will be alive :) I'll post pics of the motor when I get it together.

damn that's gonna be a sick whip! i was in that car once. gotta love the wagons!

sticking with the T wheels? i think it looks awesome.

Thanks Rodger, Yes I plan on sticking with the T wheels, but I'll probably refinish them at some point.

I got some time to start putting the motor together today, have a little more to do yet.

Powder coating everything I had done should run about $300-$350 I had it done at 1/2 price. There's allot of prep involved that makes it expensive.

More progress:

Yea it was on the feed line when I bought it so I just left it on there.

Trying to decide on the wheels? Leave them alone or black them out like the 84/85 GN wheels?

i definitely like the right pic better. how did you do that to the pic? i really like the blacked out t (hot air GN) wheels too but on a white wagon i like the plain t wheels for some reason.

you should somehow put a bump on the hood and the 3.8 turbo sfi emblems. that would be awesome!

I think the black inserts would compliment the trim and tint better.

That's why I think I like the black out look better. I am going to refinish them either way, maybe I'll mask 2 off and spray bomb them to see how I like it first.

Picked up the car Monday 4/13, worked on it all day Friday 4/17 9am-2am  Cleaning up under the hood, going through the wiring harness, etc... Got the motor and trans in also. I'll get some pics up soon, still have allot to do.
