85 GN or WH1?

Hey folks, thought i would pic all of your brains for your thoughts. I am doing a body off resto on my car (an 85 GN). I am using a 85 WH1 shell, which i have all the vins and paperwork for since it rolled off the floor. I have to get the car painted.

In terms of value, would it be wiser to do the WH1 paint scheme or the GN paint scheme. Either way, the vehicle won't have all the correct option codes for the purest. But i do have all the vins for both.

Being I have a WH1 I am partial to that scheme.

All Black is overrated.

Of course 2 of my 5 cars are pure black, and the buick is mostly.

i agree the WH1 is not something that you see every day. you see tons of GN every where here in Syracuse two of my friends have GN's. every where you go you see GN's. now dont get me wrong the GN is a bad looking car but, what is that black and gray car? you know what i mean? a sleeper! also rarity. just my 2 cents worth.

Thanks for the input fellows. I was leaning towards the Wh1 anyway for the rarity reason alone.

glad to hear it. there are very few WH1 around any way. There were only 2151 made from 84-86 and 29807 GN's Made from 84-87. Thats a big difference in numbers.

I have an 85 gn which is in a great condition along with the original GM sales sticker. I would stay with th wh-1 config for sure. The GN option was only $675 body change from the regal ttype . These cars mechanically are the same. Brad

I have seen some WH1, with the gray rather light colored and would rather it a little darker. I think i will also put the black bumpers on it, with the 85 GN rims perhaps. Now i just gotta find some time to work on it....
