Hey guys I got some great info from u guys already about my new 85 GN but now it's time to start putting parts in and I just want to make sure I don't blow my motor or tranny up! I got a chip and 42# injectors from turbo tweak and have on order a walbro fuel pump and hot wire kit from them as well but before I install I should have this motor purring correct? The car sat for 20 years in a garage and was driven less than 9000 miles in that time. Some good advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks

im assuming u have drained the tank & have fresh fuel in? well if so i guess id start with new plugs, fuel filter, check maf, 02sensor, all vac hoses & tee's u may find, put a good flowing air filter on it & see where u stand aftr these changes! just some basic low budget starting points imo

I sure did drain the tank about a month ago when I was heading to the gas station with a buddy and half way there it ran out of gas. My buddy wound up pushing me about 2 miles, good thing it was mostly down hill LOL! But anyway I did most of the things u suggested just dont know how to check maf or o2 sensors. I put a 3x9 k&n air cone on end of maf tube. I also bought a new coil ack from a local parts store but the firing order is bass ackwards to the sticker on the fan shroud. can I still use it?

That's the beauty of this forum go to the search bar and type in what bothering u and most likely it's been asked and answered 10 times over in most cases . Where r u located ?
