85 Monte Carlo 2004R

Have an 85 Monte SS trans 5CQ, valve body has CQ6 stamped on it, has a Monte govenor in it , is this trans comparable with a CZ trans. Looks like from the trans ID chart that the CZ started in 86. Thanks.

I have used these with equal success as the CZ.
Diff`s are subtle. Very good for HP use.
