85 regal roof on 87?

In the process of restoring an 87 GN with t tops. I refuse to keep this car as a ttop roof I could never get my previous gn to be air tight after weeks of effort! I have been on the look out for a donor regal hardtop for some time. One just popped up and it’s an 85.


Anyone have an idea if an 85 roof would line up on an 87?

Given the desirability for most people for Grand Nationals with the T-tops, as well as their rarity, would not it be better to sell the one you're restoring and find 1 that does not need a roof replacement?

84-87 pretty much the same sheet metal .

The roof is the same. You know to take the whole roof with the supporting structure and all as it will obviously be vastly different.
