85 WH1 pics...

I am rebuilding an 85 WH1 and entertaining rim options for the car. I seen a the WH1 with the factory rims, and the 86/87 t-type rims. But i haven't seen any pics with of a WH1 with an 85 GN rim (turbine with black "fins"). Just curious as to what it may look like. Are you talking about the 30 fin turbine wheels that were on 85 only? If so I have a perfect set----cut back to bare aluminum and recoated. These look NEW.

I think the 30 fin wheels you speak of are the ones that come on the Wh1? I am thinking of the rims at this site :

The '84 - '85 GN wheels that are painted black really don't look awful. They're actually pretty nice. I've had mine since I ordered the car from the factory in May 1985, and they've served me well.

I unfortunately had one of mine destroyed by a tyre shop last summer and had to search for a replacement. I actually found a set of four here on the TB web site. I just looked at the parts for sale and posted a search in "searching for parts."

You may also want to check with Mike at Muscle Car Salvage, 5801 Hillcrest Circle, Indian Trail, North Carolina, 28079; 704-882-2582.
They deal with GN's alot and have helped me out getting spare parts for mine.

I have 86-87 gn rims on my wh-1. I get some real nice comments about the wheels.They look real sweet.

the 84-85 gn rims are some of the best looking rims that can go on a Gn.

I got a set of the 85 GN rims on my 85 and think they look real nice To make a long story short, i am scraping the 85 GN due to rust and such, and building my newly acquired 85 WH1, and will have the option of the factory wh1 rims, 86/87 t-rims, and the 85 GN rims. I have seen the WH1 with all of the other styles except for the 85 GN rims, and the 86/87 GN rims, but hopefully Gnational86 will send me some pics to check it out.
