Just got my 86-87 ECM from tbirdv6 good packaging good timing good guy to deal with by the way,
Ok I read on another post to just unplug the chips out of the 84 ECM and put them in the 87 ECM then it's pretty much plug and play from there?
My chips are stock small chip and caspers ultrachip in my 84 ECM can I use the ultrachip in the 87 ECM? That's the only chips I have,
I do have the 87 ignition module and hotwire kit for it installed already
Can anyone help with these questions!

The 86/87 ECM upgrade is plug and play. You can use ur 84/84 calpack=small chip but u will at least need a stock 86/87 chip to make things run u can't use ur 84/85 chip in the 86/87 ECM, once u get this in your hands get urself a stock 86/87 MAF sensor I just used the 86/87 maf sensor and it runs just fine on it your other choice would be to just buy urself the translator with a ls1 or Lt1 MAF sensor and run that either way u go it's all plug n play another thing to keep in mind is the IAT sensor ur check engine light will come on if u don't add this sensor or have it burned off when ordering a chip for ur new setup

you need to spend some more money at www.turbotweak.com to get a chip that will work with the ecm.. but other than that, it's plug and play.

how much did you spend for the ecm? i paid $35 for mine at a local junkyard.

I paid 75 for mine you got a good deal, thanks for the info guys! I'll get me a maf and try it out this weekend!

Got the ECM and maf installed car runs way better than it did, I have many exhaust leaks on my passenger side Im assuming that's why it runs like crap under boost, but what could me by best next step to get alittle more power out of this car? It's all stock, upgraded ignition module and coil packs, upgraded ECM,

First get those exhaust leaks fixed- it throws the O2 sensor off then get a Turbo Tweak chip!
