87 GN Proportioning Valve Removal - Brake Light Connector Question

Hi, newbee here. Have just finished doing the conversion of my brake system from power master to vacuum. Brake fluid seems kind of dark. Have read that proportioning valve may be causing the rusty color. Anyway, wanted to change it anyway.

Question: How does the brake light connector come off? Does it just pull straight off? Didn't want to break it by forcing.

Brake(warning) light. Brake light switch is behind pedal.

Yep. Press tabs & wiggle off.

Sorry, guess I should have stated it better. I am talking about the electrical connector that is on the proportioning valve below the engine compartment on driver's side.
