Well it looks like my presonal 9-11 came a day early...A lowered honda with a loud muffler lost control and hit my parked GN from behind at about 50mph sending it into several other parked cars before bouncing back into the street where it was hit another car. The good news is all the damage is from the doors back--hopefully the engine will live again in something else...I'd like to thank all who participate in this site, its been a great source of info for me. I didnt have a lot of posts, but searches usually answered my questions. Thanks again

Sorry to hear that man..... any chance the car is rebuildable? Glad that at least you weren't hurt in the accident but that's really horrible about your car.

Im very sorry to hear about your GN. You seem to be taking it well, I guess the good thing is it can be repaired, right? :(

Thanks for the kind thoughts--the trunk is in the back seat, my wheel base is about a foot shorter, passenger door is about to the center console...Wait it gets better, I dropped comprehensive on the advice of my insurance man in march--the ricer has insurance---10,000 coverage and there are a total of 5 cars involved. My car has basically been transformed into a planter

if you part it let me know, you have some mods i aminterested in

It wasn't even my car and I'm ready to buy a plane ticket and help with the beating.

Man I'm really sorry to hear about your car. I hope something works out for you and you can save the car.

A good beating was definately on my mind when I first saw the mess...But my luck continues. This guy is 19 and 5.4 about 125lbs. I cant even take this zero to court he got nothing.

I still would have smashed his face. What a nightmare.. Sorry to hear that

That sucks!

So is the car going to be totaled?? If I were you and it's fixable (no frame damage) I would fight with the insurance company and not let them total it!!!!!! Damn, it just seems like these cars are dropping like flys this year with all the accidents and a couple that got stolen......... I hate hearing about stuff like this because I truly love these cars and would like to see them around for a long time:(

I wish you the best of luck with the current situation and hopefully the car can be saved, but if not I hope you get paid the true amount it is worth........

I'll try fighting the insurance companys first but its going to be uphill all the way...I know the diff is mangled and I've got a hugh puddle of trans fluid in front of my garage where I had it towed. I'll check out better tonight---I was too bummed last night. If any one knows of a nice GN let me know

that sucks:( ive always said if my gn gets totaled and i dont end up putting the engine in to my t type or my 442 ill buy me a elcamino or a cobra kit car.

Hey John,

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. That sucks big time. My car is just getting ready to come out of the body shop after a total repaint thanks to being backed into. Fortunately the damage to mine was nothing like yours. I really do know how you feel though to come out and see your pride and joy all smashed up. I hope you get a good settlement and find another car. I hate to sound like a buzzard circling over your GNs carcass but if you do want to sell some parts, I'm local and could come by and pick them up. The LT1 translator would interest me for sure, and possibly the turbo as well. Good luck.

Bandit ( Jeremy ) had his car wiped and he found a body and frame in GOOD shape from bweavy at G body parts. Thats what I would do. He advertises on this board.
Tarey D.

Don't give up keep the BUICK PERFORMANCE legacy going :D

Don't Give Up On The Insurance...

The fact that you dropped your comprehensive coverage will not affect your ability to receive settlement for this loss. If the ricer punk has a $10K limit on his liability coverage (which is surely insufficient to cover his total liability in this case), your own uninsured or underinsured motorists' coverage may compensate you up to the limit of your policy. You may also be able to collect remaining damages under your own collision coverage. Additionally, you may be entitled to a rent-a-car at the ricer's insurance companies' expense. I would suggest contacting a claims representative from your insurance company.
Bear in mind that your policy rates cannot be affected by any settlement you receive from your own carrier, assuming your car was legally parked when the accident occurred.

Good luck!

You will still probably want to take the punk to court to garnish any wages he makes. Once the insurance company settles with you, anything above what they pay is his responsibility. You can have his wages granished for 25% untill it is paid. You will probably get checks in the mail for the next 5 years, but at least he won't get away with it.

Sucks to hear about your loss.:(

Thanks for the support. When I come out of the fog and get a game plan together I'll let know whats happening----Thanks for letting me know about Brian Weaver. So Bandit, if I fix it I'll definitely be in touch. I looked a little closer last night and fixing it would be a hugh project. Another option is...I also have a 55 Chevy project car?? we'll see.

A 3.8 turbo 55 chevy that sounds wicked. Good luck. Don't listen to your insurance agents they thing a GN is just a regal worth $500 next time someone tells you to drop your coverage tell them to drop this.
