'87 T Burgundy Interior Code

Hi Does anyone have the GM code or name handy for the dark burgundy interior in 87. I need to order a replacment carpet and ACC stated that they did not have a Burgundy one listed and I needed GM's code.

Well I got home and looked in my book "The GN Facts and Figures Book" and it seams I have code 79 DK Claret. Auto Custom Carpets did not have a x-reference so they are sending me samples to match up.

I have an '87 Dark Red Metallic Turbo T, paint code 79U, and burgandy interior listed as Trim 399 - Bucket seat in Red cloth, on the window sticker. Maybe that helps........

Well auto custom carpets sent out 3 samples. The closest match was called Oxblood. I forget the color number. It was very close to the original color and actully matched the seats more. I should have the carpet next week and I will let you know how it goes in. In a side note I have my seat bottom reupholstered locally. New seat cover and added pad bolster for $90. Great job and now it is like new.

Sounds like your car is just like mine! I have a white 87 with burgundy. Use this place www.1aauto.com. They sent me proofs to match it up perfectly with my carpet. The factory foot rest pad was there, sound deadener and all I had to do was lay the old one over it and trim like 1" on the right side and poke my seat holes, seat belt bolt holes and console mounts out. The color I have is Oxblood ACC2306-875 for a 87 T. Actually maybe they distribute the Auto Custom Carpets (ACC) but not sure. I paid $95 for it and I am very happy. It was here lightning fast!
