87 t-package??

Which rear end did a 87 regal 307 with the t-package have and was it posi. Also which trans was in this car?

I'm not sure on the Regals but GM used to install a tag on the pumpkin stating if it's a posi and the gear ratio. As for the gear box, this applys to the 4spd autos only. A 200r4 doesn't have a removeable tail pice while a 700r4 does. The 3 spds you tell by looking at the trasn pan....a TH-350 will be almost sqaure.

If it has the Y56 "T" package than the only trans and rear available on the 307 is 200-4R and 2.56 gears. Those two options were mandatory on the "T" package. This only applies to the 307 cars. You could have ordered 3.08 or 3.23 gears with the NA 3.8 and 3 speed auto.

The RPO codes on the SPID label should be
MW9 & MXO for the 200-4R
GM8 for the 2.56
G89 for the 7.50" ring gear axle
