'87 T running like crap

Hey guys. just picked up a nice T. it ran ok when i test drove it. the tranny is rebuilt. anyway, on the way home while in 4th gear, i heard a big BANG a couple times. not sure what was going on. it was pretty violent though. the only thing i can think of is that is was shifting down to D and then back to OD while cruising.... but doing it so quickly that i couldn't tell what the heck was going on.

also, the engine now is seeming to break up a little bit while under a load. it's mostly stock w/ 36lb redtops. boost is only at 12 psi. i guess it seems to break up under boost. only started doing that after i got home. i know it was recently tinkered with because the turbo was just put back on. any ideas??

coil pack/module might be going south? They tend to break up when under load...

I troubleshooted my coilpack/module the other week...I might suggest finding a KNOWN good one to swap on to try (sometimes easier said than done) or investing the tester from Casper's. The Autozone test doesn't simulate loads for the ign mod. I tried buying a part here and there, but i never could 100% say I ruled it out...so ultimately I have more invested than the Casper's tester was...only to find out, it my coilpack/ign mod were fine...
