my crappy GN
was a mistake from the beginning
I bought the cheapest one I could find
87 T-top GN with 140,000 abused miles from Kirban for $3,000
needed turbo rebuilt-at least it was a TE44 (new center section $500)
tranny rebuild by a local tranny guy who owns 2 GN's and swore he new how to build a 2004r $600
tranny does not work right at all
rust- never fixed it
powermaster brakes-never fixed it
oil leaks- pain in my ass
bad handling, bad brakes and loads of power-- not a good combination for me
I played around with that POS for a yr and a half- pulled the drivetrain out and sold the body to a bodyshop for $2,000
( he was rebuiding a customers car-a 10 second show winning car that got driven into a telephone pole __ see above bad handling ,bad brakes)
3yrs later I still have tons of Buick parts well it's a long story- I was collecting all the parts for a swap into a GTA when I totaled the GTA in the rain (still had the 350 in it)
still searching for the right car to drop my engine into
