God Bless the families that lost loved one's that day and please continue to support out troops!

NEVER FORGET!

Hard to believe it was 7 years ago. Got to be a tough day for the families of those lost. One of my friends lost his brother in the 2nd tower to fall and a flight attendant on one of the planes that hit the towers went to my high school.

This was one of those events that you can recall exactly where you were when it happened. I've got 4 events that I can remember where I was at the time, JFK's assassination, RFK's assassination, John Lennon's murder, the Challenger shuttle crash and of course 9-11.

Still can't believe we haven't found OBL yet.

It will never be forgotten. God bless all those effected by that horrible day in history...

I will never forget and I always think of the Firemen, Police, and Port Authority that lost their live trying to save others. Godbless all the families that lost their loved ones on that terrible day.

+1 good bless

I see the phrase "9-1-1 Never Forget" quite often on banners, bumper stickers, etc...

Unless one was not born yet or living in a cave or a deserted island for the last 7 years I'm not quite sure how anyone could actually forget those events? I wish those banners would read something like "9-1-1 Freedom Isn't Free". Either way, God bless our troops and I hope they come home sooner then later from that God forsaken place.

Thank you for saying it first. I'm not trying to be a d*ck but there are just some things that lessen or take away from the meaning of how important this event was to the world and us, as a nation in particular IMO. Never Forget! Never Forget! Never Forget! GeezUs! You might as well call somebody a forgetfull moron with that slogan. You know if something is repeated enough than apathy sets in. Why do you think McDonalds runs a commercial every 15 minutes when they have a store on every street corner? Hey and give that lame a$$ Lee Greenwood Proud to be an American song a break too. Try playing the National Athem instead. Preferably not the version sung by Rosanne Barr. Thank you for letting me exercise my 1st admendment rights. I'll keep supporting our troops and country by paying my taxes and voting in the next election.

Yes sir..

Please say a prayer for all that are protecting our freedom, and those who have died allowing us to have that freedom.

You all know my position here. I cry ( And in no way ashamed of it) thinking of that devastating day.

Kendra showed my those you tube videos and they are great. In one of them it has the "Remember their Sacrifice" on it which is on the home page of TB.com and PTSXTREME.com and willl always remain there both on the webpage and in our hearts.

Take a minute and salute the flag and personally thank those who are in harms way.

"I LOVE THIS COUNTRY!!!!".... Pass it on. Let's start something here. Keep the chain going...

Prayers and thoughts to all,

Bruce, Cindy, and Kendra Toelle

"never forget"

I agree that the events of 9/11 are something burned into our collective psyches forever- but the apathy that sets in is real. Time, political manuvering, and laziness lead to that apathy. To me, it's not a mantra to chant as a forgetful moron; rather, it's a reminder of what I saw in NY when I was there in September 2001.

I saw the dust on the streets.
I saw JFK in almost total lockdown, with heavily armed Army/National Guard personnel ready to take action.
I saw the empty hole where the towers were.
I experienced NYC as I had never had before....and never wish to again.

Yea I wasn't trying to downplay the events or minimize the effects it had on people. Especially the people who's families were lost or lives were turned upside down as a result of such a cowardly act.

I just feel that cowardly act should burn a memory is peoples mind with something that reminds people what those attcks were really about.

Sorry if I offened anyone. It wasn't meant to be said in that manner.

No offense taken. I think 'Never Forget' is the same as 'Remember the Alamo' or 'Pearl Harbor'.

I don't think it means that people have forgotten...I think it means to try and remember that day on your own..often. Not just because its the anniversary.

I know I'll Never Forget.

I feel its good we see those images from that fatefull day. It stands as a reminder that we can never let that happen again. I do find it sad that the days following 9-11 everyone had a flag on their car, or a pin on their shirt, or even a flag on their home. Look around now, what happened to that pride in country? I think they should show those images more often to remind us of the losses that we all suffered that day. We must move on, and honor those lives lost. But we must never become complacent. Least we suffer the same fate again.

I remember my sister calling me and waking me up to tell me I need to turn on the TV (I had worked a mid shift) I turned the TV on just in time to see the second plane hit. I most definately changed in those moments and that day was the deciding factor for me to join the military. I have not forgotten and will never forget. What I did forget was just how much it really affected me. History had a special on about 9/11 and I sat down to watch it yesterday. I tell you what, it was like it had just happened again, I sat there in awe with a great deal of sadness surfacing in me and realized at that moment just how much it had affected me when it happened and that none of those feelings had changed a bit, not even years later. As I cleared the tears that had begun to well up in my eyes I was glad I watched it all over again. It reminded me that all the hard ships and sacrafices I have, and every other service member, have made were well worth it and I will continue to proudly serve without hesitiation or doubt about my choices.
