Well, it says 6 cylinder now...

But, there were Skyhawk turbo 4cylinder T-Types available in the 80s that used the 1.8/2.0 OHC turbo non-intercooled Brazillian motors that were also used in teh Sunbird GT. A little more trivia - those cars used the same ECM as the Syclone and Typhoon....

I almost bought one down at Auburn Car Auction for a DD last year. It only had like 30k miles on it and the guy wanted like $8k for which I thought was a little too much even with the low mileage. Plus I would feel kind of bad putting the miles on a nice rare car. That was the first Skyhawk T-type I have ever seen.

30K huh? That means it only had 10K more before it would need the head gasket replaced... :D

Those OHC (turbo or not) literally eat head gaskets. They have an aluminum head and cam carrier, and an iron block. They use TTY head bolts that go through the cam housing, through the head, and into the block and sandwich all three pieces together. So, all the force of the cam whipping around and forcing open the valves, let alone the compression, it forcing against the head gasket... Pretty much every 40K - like clockwork. I was suprised it wasnt even in the maintence schedule in the owners' manual.

Still cool little cars though.
