A/c bracket

Does someone sell a bracket that replaces this a/c alternator bracket? Since I’ve completely removed a/c system this chunk of metal isn’t necessary IMO , wondering if there’s one for hotairs that just supports alternator ?

You may have to fabricate a bracket for just the alternator or cut up that pretty shiny one if your goal is to clean up that area.

I think it's for the 86/87 - but will it adapt to the 84/85 ???

I've got one similar to that. It required using different pullies and sourcing the arm to adjust it.

Yours is slightly different. Mine is from an early Jeep engine with a single groove pullies. Also had to use the early style short water pump.

Thanks to everyone ! , Hotairwh1 I think that post #5 on that other thread is what I’m looking for , now just have to hunt down that part, they used it on a before 84 /85 GN hopefully it works on 84/85 without having to change much but the bracket …. Thanks again

It looks just like the one in the pic, But I don’t see a year call out ?

After taking a look at the engine bay and visualizing that early model bracket it looks like it will bring down the alternator a couple of inches (4-5) , you think its going to require a different water pump? For sure a shorter belt
