I'm in the middle of my '86 GN build and installed an a/c delete plate. What I am now wondering is how to get rid of the heater hoses. Do I just plug off the ports at the water pump and the intake for the hose fittings or run a hose from one to the other? Just dropped 6 grand into this engine and want to know before initial start up. thanks!

this is the one on my old car...assuming we're talking about the same hoses.

Plug em...they don't have to be there and it's a much cleaner look

You can get a npt thread plug for the intake from pretty much anywhere. Take out the nipple and screw the plug in. Use plumbers tape or thread sealant. For the water pump, either weld up that nipple or buy a cap from autozone. They have them in the help section.

Probably go with the plug method since my heater tubes look bad and it gets more out of the way
