A friend of mine transplanted an 87 engine with FAST into his classic Skylark. On the back of the A/C compressor is a round connector (roughly 12mm) that no one seems to know its purpose. Mine seems to have two black wires coming out of it. What is this thing and does anyone have the A/C wiring diagram that they can post?

Round connector is the pressure cycling switch

Section 8-4 of the Turboregal manual available online

Jack, I believe the one on the back of the compressor is the high pressure cutout. Doesn't open until 400+ psi.

Thanks for the info everyone. I had packed away my CD and IDK that was available online like that.

yes, high pressure cutout switch. New compressors come with a plug, there is a retaining ring that holds it in and the plug has to be removed and the switch installed.
