ok i know the whole thing between jay carter and IPO about the different propane kits and the quality issues and so on. all i want to know is if anyone here runs the IPO kit and what they think of it. thanks

p.s. i was wondering sice IPO says to use a sealed line BOV to keep propane from entering the engine compartment they assume the use of a BOV. since our cars do not have BOV's would the propane be shot back through the turbo and explode it or not?

p.s.s. how big of a bottle does the IPO and JC kits use? i know whata 10 lb. nitrous bottle looks like so how does it compare to one of these in terms of lbs. and actual dimensions?

p.s.s.s. where do the diferent kits mount their bottles?

I don't know either of the kits(?) you mentioned, but on the turboford.org board there was an import fella that marketed a propane kit. His stuff looked/sounded like it was working well. You can do a search over there and find out who or what it was. I think the guy really researched it well and had quite a few people using it. Hope that helps:)

the kits im talking about one is by jay carter. he is a GN tuner and used to carry alky kits but nowhas gone to propane. his new kit is just coming out. look a few posts down on this section and you will see him. his screen name is JayC.

The other kit is by a guy named Chris Hill at www.importpoweronline.com . ive seen him on a few other boards. is he who you saw on www.turboford.com ?

YEA that's the dude! The import power guy. He sounded like he did his homework. Have any of you GN guys been running his setup? What kinda gains have ya'll seen? Turbobuicks I live up in Ocala, you live IN Tampa?

i live in the Carrolwood area not Tampa the city like downtown or anything. you know where the carrolwood area is?

I bumped an old thread back to the first page for you.

I will have more to report soon, in about a week, or so...

Too tired to answer any questions right now...:)

IPO doenst include a bottle.

NOt having a BOV shouldnt cause any problems with this kit. as with an open atmosphere bov theres a slight propane smell, but nothin to bad as every one says.

FYI IPO's car has an open atmosphere BOV.
