I'm looking for some advise on a FWD motor swap. 1994 Grand Prix with the 3100 motor. I've pulled the RWD motors but do not have any experience with these. Is it better to pull trans with motor or not? Any place to go for a step by step procedure? If its a major undertaking Ill sell the car to the local boneyard.

I've done a couple of FWD vehicles now.
IMHO, it's easier to pull the trani with the engine if you have the clearance.

I would not be able to do it on my Montana, it would have to come out from underneath. I am about to reinstall a 99 2.4l Grand Am motor with the trani bolted on. It's a squeeze, but it fits.

A 94 Grand Prix shouldn't be a big deal.
Take the hood off for plenty of clearance.
