The seal that goes between the hard lines and the compressor. I think it's supposed to be a washer with a rubber seal on it. My new lines didn't come with them, can't find them in my illustrated parts guide, and have been told that GM used different ones for different applications. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't believe (at least the '87) requires a gasket. The lines that I saw just pulled out of the compressor without any washer or seal. The one bolt just held the plate, with the two lines, hard against the compressor.

I think different models, not the turbo's, may have used a seal.

Maybe an air conditioning guru can help, just to be sure.

The original A/C compressors used o-rings. Replacement Delco's now use a washer w/captured rubber ring.

Delco no. for the seal kit is: 15-20058. It contains 3 rings, do NOT use the red one.

I looked at the old compressor. It had o-rings inside. I knew I didn't see anything on the plate.

I noticed that there are two inserts. One is short the other is long. On the back of the compressor there is an "S" for suction, it's the bigger hole. I'm guessing. No instructions.

I think the long insert goes in the block for the suction side and the short insert goes on the discharge side. Then the washers go onto the inserts and you line the block up with the compressor and screw the bolt onto the hose block.

The small hole had a green washer and the large had a brass colored washer.

I think that's it?

Nick will know.

I hope it's the correct information.

Either Nick or an a/c experienced guy will chime in.
