I watched a used 70mm Accufab TB, that Accufab was selling direct, go for $149 on Ebay. Is something up with Accufab that people are shying away or did this one go for cheap?

Sort of a limited market, too. The 70mm throttle body is only useful on REALLY fast cars, and most of them already have what they need. Also needs a doghouse to match, as well as the right sized piping bringing air from the IC.

Yea, but I would assume they would bring a little more than that...

Would like to have bought mine for that price. I don't like shine anyhow, and bead blasted my TB and T-Netics housings as soon as I recieved them. Wish those pieces were offered " non polished ".

I have a horror story about accufab ,I had one on my car and the head of the screw broke off that holds the butterfly in and trashed the top of my piston. The car sounded like it had a rod knock .

Same thing happened to me no knock sound but the bolt head stuck to the top of a piston.

Yeah thats where mine ended up to .I called accufab and they didn't belive me .

Walter S. just found out is engine problem was a screw head from an Accufab having broken off.

Looks like i will locktight mine on this weekend.

In Walter's case it was the head breaking off. That most likely was from over tightening, or improperly backing up the head, during staking (it's been a while since I looked at one, so they might not in fact be staked). But, IMO, I'd be sure to use new bolts.

I e-mailed them about the problem and sent it to them and they repaired no charge and shipped it back to me in about 2 weeks.
