Having a problem with boost control on a car with a brand new turbo and actuator. With my air hose set at 15-20#, the actuator (I've tried several all low boost actuators) will not open the THDP wastegate arm enough to control boost. It's also aligned perfect. I've hogged out the hole big enough so with the arm disconnected there is no boost at all WOT. So I know the hole is big enough. This also is with the hose directly connected to the actuator so it's not leakin. I hooked it up directly from the compressor housing the the actuator for now and boost is low 12# then rises to 18#+ as the arm won't move the puck out of the way enough to allow for control. This is with the arm as long as possible.

I could hog the housing out huge and it would probably work but I didn't want to go too extreme. If the actuator would have more than 1/4" of travel, I'd be all set. Any ideas? Get out the official carbide hogger, I know.

I guess you could change the length of the arm on the puck? Not something I'd want to tinker with but you might.

I'm just gonna hog the hole out more. Just seems strange the arm travels 1/4" and no more, when I've seen others travel 1/2" no sweat.
