Assuming you have an adjustable wastegate actuator, making it shorter will raise boost.
Try one half a turn at a time. Depending on the threads of your actuator, one full turn is sometimes worth one pound of boost.
Do you have a scan tool to monitor the affects of your boost changes?

Eyup--just remember shorten rod to shorten engine life--lengthen rod to lengthen engine life.

Make sure you have a real boost gauge in the car also. Do not trust the stock gauge.

I bet this is the boost adjustment tool he's referring too from Kirban.
If so, it is used to help you pull the actuator rod back onto the swing valve without having to resort to using pliers or vice grips. The split portion simply hooks to the back side of the adjustment nut and the T handle is where you pull. Very simple device that's been around for a few years.
Also very useful for re-installing the rod onto the swing valve when the car is hot. I personally prefer the RJC valve with an adjustable wastegate preset to a minimum level myself, but that little sucker gets hot too. I recommend to always use gloves when messing with wastegate adjustments on a hot car.

The answer to that issue for me was a manual boost controller....No more straining! 
LOL! Too funny. I've never seen that tool before...but then again I have. I MADE a tool out of bar metal that looks almost exactly like that, for that very purpose.
Great minds........I guess I wasn't the first guy to get sick of burining his hands/wrists when adjusting boost on a hot engine.
