Advise on new downpipe

I’ve made some enquires about ta downpipes also , everyone I’ve reached out to seems to be out of stock .
No kidding on the supply chain shortage

I just got off the phone with Nick at Arizona g n, super great guy to deal with I've met him a few times. I put in the call for you Karl and you just ran out of luck, he was in the middle of packing up his last 3 inch stainless DP pipe as I was talking to him. He said he was going to contact his supplier asap. He mentioned are RJC is out as well, I believe he supplies to him. I was told to call back on Thursday afternoon you might have one.

No problem, this board has helped me with the LONG laundry list of questions and concerns regarding my dad's originally owned 86' that has been down for 16 years and since his passing last year I've been rebuilding (almost done). Making a call to a great OG in the game was the least I could do.

Hoping and preying your daughter gets to drive this car to her prom! Goodluck sir!

The coating is real sharp , how much did the coating run you $$$ if you don’t mind me asking

If you want your downpipe coated may I suggest once you get a downpipe get on the phone with whoever you're buying it from and have them ship it directly to the coaster, unless you have a local place of course. Just an idea. Better to pay for shipping twice rather than three times.

You could always have it coated after prom as well if timeline is short.

It's been sitting here for a while along with a single shot atr original crossflow muffler.
I never advertised it for sale because I dont really need to sell it and have had it for a long time.

I let my nephew drive my'86 GN to his prom back in 1988.

His dad passed away a few moths ago and while giving his eulogy, the kid mentioned that night and how his dad drilled it into his head to "Be careful with Guy's car!".

My brother loved that car.

Surprised the hell out of me.

These are the things that memories are made of.
This TR that I have , is a father daughter
Project in memory of my dad .
Him being a Buick man himself , bought his stage 1 brand new in 1970 .
Then in 1987 it was time for a new car , he was eyeing a TR at the time , but that didn’t happen .
Mom was pressing him for a 4 door family car .
These moments of a father and daughter wrenching on a car are priceless , and with the help and advise from the forum family it’ll be one to remember .

Nick's pipes are real nice. I won one in the raffle at the Bates Show a few years back. I gave it back and told them to re-draw because I already had a TA pipe, modified for an external waste gate by Lou Czarnota, on my car.

Might as well share the wealth.....

Just got off the phone with a lady there , she knew about the downpipe on hold .
