aerospace disc vs aluminum drum

when i purchased my car as a roller the car had an aerospace rear disc brake kit on it. I took the aluminum drums as well. Now that im at the point where im ready to purchase my rims/tires im wondering which one to go with! Is the desired backspacing going to change between disc vs drum. Im looking at running 15x9 weldstar RT and torn on backspacing options. Also want to run 295/55-15.

measure the thickness of the wheel mounting flange on the drums and on the rotors... the difference is how much difference there will be in where the wheel ends up..
