I am looking for (2) Air inlet cones that go in place of the headlights. If anybody has some or can tell me where to get them.

Thanks

Hey did you find any yet? I am looking for some myself. Their has to be a web sight or or some place that carries them.

I have only found round ones at this time, nothing square that will work in replace of the headlight.

I was just thinking, my buddy use them on his 78 malibu I'll call him and find out where he got his from.

Air Inlet @ Headlights

Throwing this idea out there to see what you guys think. You can remove one or both center headlights. Then, install this idea to get more air to air filter and battery location. This helps get heat out of engine bay and direct cold air to air filter. You can also, trim headlight bucket for more air flow if desired. Let me know if you are interested, I have ten sets ready now. Call me if you have any questions. 919-770-7401

Thanks,
Jackie

I can make what you are trying to sell.

I was wanting one that had a recessed cone similar to the spectre one that mounted in place of the headlight. The Spectre one is way to big (5.75"), the stock headlight for a buick is 4" Tall.

Broke down and made some !

I went to the store last night and spent about an hour looking for things to make some. Here are a couple of photos of what I made, what do you think?

The Opening 4" and reduces down to 3"

I haven't installed it back into the car yet, I will post a picture of that once done.

looks great !! what did you end up using to make them? and also if they fit as good as they look, make me a set:D

same setup as mine ,only difference is that i use headlight bucket as the reducer which you can cut out to size you like.the screen on mine is what makes it look soo cool, thanks
jackie

you say you use the headlight bucket as a reducer, then what do you use to direct the air into the vehicle or do you just leave open? (Lets see photos)

Mine will be directed into the intake.

Here's the place my buddy said he got his from Ram Air Box I looked on their and they sell the inlets for our cars, they seem to be right around 60.00 w/shipping I am assuming thats for both sides.

those look very similar to what I made, but mine cost me no where near that cost. The complete kit is expensive.

I am interested in these also did anyone do any testing to find real world street results?
Chris

Knock knock...this thread's always 4 years old

PS. we were running only 2 headlights back in '88. One feeding the MAF & the other keeping the hairdryer cool for serious street action
