Airdams

Hey i noticed some of you guys have black ones. I was wondering what type of paint did you use. Also can anyone tell me where i can find the screws needed bolt them up to the car. thanks.

ok WTF did you guys use satin black or what? mine are kinda of the same color as the interior of the car....

The air dams on the front of the car came from the factory black. They are black plastic.

The factory dams are black from the factory. If you want to paint them, a satin black will be fine.

They only came in the semi flat black unless painted by the previous owner.

Ok painted them black. Now will any bolts work or do I need some special ones to mount them on the car?? I figure a trip to lows should work. any ideas?

Use the bolts that you removed when you removed the front airdamn. Just put them back on and dont forget to tighten them.

I didn't remove the bolts the owner before me did some 20 years ago and lost the bolts over time. Come on man I'm not that freakin dumb. That's why im asking maybe some one had the same issue as i did.

Not angry... I just like doing my research before hand and buying what I need the first time thanks for the help. I'm a noob when it comes to these cars so I ask alot of questions :biggrin:

i know you already painted them but i would like to add that i too painted mine recently. I bought SEM flexible bumper coater (black) and they look brand new!

I have to install mine, i hope i can find the bolts
If i remember, they are allen heads...

Yeah I just used 5/16 bolts all the way around except on the ones that hold the wheel well those were still there. One thing i noticed is that the airdams dont line up like most things on these cars had to do a lil tweaking.
