I have 2 GNs and would like to put alchy on both over the winter. One of my concerns is the cars see less than 1500 miles per year and 3 to 4 track days each. With that limited use(I know i should drive them more )how will this effect the alchy parts and the life span of parts??Thanks in advance

Call Julio. He would be good at answering your questions. I bought one of his systems this past spring and I only put 3000 miles a year on my car and half of it is the power tour so it sits in the garage a lot the rest of the year. I haven't noticed any ill effects on any of the components yet but it has only been 7 months since I installed it. I believe that you have to winterize it so the Alky doesn't sit in there all winter.

My garage is temp controlled but I don't winterize my system. I run the pump once a month to move things around, but they sit with alky in them during the warm months and it's fine, so I think the winterization is only for if it freezes as water can collect in the lower portions of the system if the alky has collected some. Julio will probably chime in.

kind of a loaded question:)but having a meth gauge and watching the pump pressure would show everything, but being proactive about refreshing the pump is cheap insurance.

Michigan here, so I asked Julio about storing my car in a non-climate controlled garage. Here is what he said.
"Use washer fluid for the rated temp and use the test button to drain methanol and run washer fluid through hose."
Had my system on a few months now and love it. Just have to have the tools needed to monitor & take your time tuning, had a lot a great advice from ppl on this board, so keep asking questions.

My Mustang sits on a trailer and seldom gets driven. The tank is always full. Me no issues.

Can it hurt to drain and fill with water/meth.. I wouldnt think so. The pump on my test bench gets used daily and its been on the bench now 8 years. Never has been rebuilt yet.. but I use windshield washer fluid as tap water gets an odor over time. Pump on my car gets rebuilt every 2 years. Need it or not. Cheap insurance.
