Is there any advantage in performance using one over the other? Payed $14 for a gal. of denatured alcohol at Home Depot which is about 3X the cost of methanol. Methanol is a lot harder to fine but I'm willing to pay for the alcohol if it's better. I'm sure this question has been asked before but couldn't fine anything when I did a search.

I believe there is a post about this question from a while back.
I contacted the local speed shop and got five gallons in a "gas can". It lasted me for quite a while, and was much cheaper than the home improvement store.
Razor says there is no difference between the two...

I could squeeze more boost with methanol than I could using denatured. I'm not saying denatured doesnt work, just saying I found I could dial in a hotter tuneup without seeing knock.
The other thing is dentured stinks when it burns. And its higher cost.
I would just find the source for meth.. buy 5 gallons.. you'll be set for a long while.
