just made a short run and got some #'s. 0 knock-FAST pulling 5.5% on fuel-23lbs of boost-duty cycle 45%-A/F 10.94. This is a 109, ported irons with heavy springs, 206/210 roller, PTE slic, 83lb inj, TE 54, PTC 3800 stall nlu, 24on timing until about 4200 then it goes to 19, classic FAST. THDP 3", heavy duty stock style waste gate.Razors duel nozzle alky. Hot wired 340( older one before the problems).Only 89 octane because it is all we can get here. What should I change , or leave it alone? Have not been to a track in a few years but will be going to a mph only race in 2 weeks. Tires will be 325/50/15dr. It will be a non preped runway. About 3300'

With the classic fast how are you pulling timing out mine goes to 23 and stays.

thanks JD,

go to the spark function>base spark tables ..and change the cells in the boost range you run in

i just went 1.53 10.61 127 ,fast b2b using only 45% inj duty of the 83# injectors 10.9af 22-23psi 22timing at that boost, 93octane and dual nozzle , i had a little too much alky from what i usually use but had it in there for tuning and still need to work the alky down so fueling is at about 55% with rest from alky

trying to run more timing in 1/2 and less in 3rd,once i stage the car and let off the brake car goes to 23* and 25lbs boost stays there?

working on getting the car to better 60 and more mph in the 1/8th.

pickin up 25 on the big end.

98/99 to 124/125 have seen 127

thanks JD

If its at 10.94 and pulling 5% fuel, that means your VE number needs to come down 5%. AF wise your fine. And look at your "target AF" table to see what the FAST is trying to get to. Timing below 4200 probably doesnt matter much as your usually running at 5K+ rpm's down the track. And with 89 octane, i'd leave the timing at 19 degree's where you have it.

Your power can come from timing, air/fuel, or boost. If your airfuel is there, you can work on timing or boost. I would add boost before I started bumping up the timing. Once it doesnt pickup any more MPH with that turbo on boost, then start moving up the timing. As knock permits. If you watch EGT's and they start going up with power, adding timing will bring them down.

Timing is a double edge sword, too much and it can detonate easy, too little and you can have a cookout at 2000 degree's.

Leave the alky knob on 6-7 and tune from there with a twin.
