I have my intake off, and from i what i have gathered now is a good time to tap the intake manifold for the alky injection. Can someone inform me where i tap the hole on the intake and what size, etc....I think everyone taps a hole right where the turbo goes in... pics would be great if anyone has them.

THANKS in advance...

Nathyn

I know for a fact that Herb Fishman tapped his alky kit directly into the turo-intake adapter. There was space between the turbo and the intake on that adapter that was available for a tap. You'll have to speak with him about sizing and all that, but I think it was Steve(?) at SMC alcohol that helped Herb out. I plan on doing the same for my car, but I am not sure where the aly is going yet...I am getting the larger turbo, and that means I am having an entirely different adapter put in, so I'll have to wait for the results of that in order to get it all together right. Good luck!

In the turbo adapter if good. Remember that you will need a solenoid in the line since it injects after the tb it's gonna be in vac and siphon out alky. If it puts alky into the bores while the car is off next time you start it you're gonna have problems if you hydrolock the thing.

Ahhh, so the spot to tap into is the turbo adapter, not the intake. Wonder why i thought everyone put it in the intake. Yeah i gotta read up about the solenoids and such, as i have heard about the siphoning stuff. Right now i am just looking to put the hole in there and plug until i get the other million things down to the car.

Thanks,
Nathyn

If you contact the guys from SCM, they are more than willing to describe, display, and even interpret everything techinal you need to know about puting aly in your hot air. They can tell you exactly what you need as per selenoids, tanks, lines valves, everything!!! You dont have to buy anything from them, but they do have a really really good kit for our cars.

Good luck!
