Alky pumps

I find it interesting people buy an off the shelve Shurflo pump. Its obvious Julio has done the homework. From Northern pumps are $69.99 and Alky Control pumps are $140. I'm a DIY type of person but IMO $70 is cheap insurance.

The off the shelf pumps are not properly compatible with alky. Can you make them compatible... sure, but it requires compatible seals and a rebuild at minimum.
