It's starting to get cold here in Michigan, I will be putting away the G.N. for winter, should I drain the alky tank ? purge the system ? or just not worry about it. The car will be stored in a heated garage.

Probably not worry about it. But if you want to drain..

Here's a trick, unhook the hose from the filter, put a section of 3/8 hose over the flare, then turn the ignition on... unplug the MAP sensor.. jump its gray and green terminals.. that will run your pump and drain the tank. Then go and run straight water through it like a gallon.. shut it down, forget about it.

That will flush all the alcohol out. And the little water left will evap.

Might as well take the filter apart and give it a spring cleaning.

Not much else to do.

personally...I would make sure the tank is completely filled with alcohol and some klotz lube...I let my tank sit bone dry for 3 months and then I brought it out of storage and the pump was shot...would only spray like 30 psi on the highest setting and it would spray off and on during the run:eek:

Its a pump dependant deal.

On an SMC kit yes. Actually I probably would run a high concentration of lube like Marvel Mystery Oil or ATF through the pump and leave it sitting in that rather than a corrossive liquid.. lube or not.

Using mine .. no lube needed, and water isnt an issue.

PS, there is some views that methanol left sitting can gel up a little as it gets moisture. Flush it out.. fugedabout it. Do it now or in the spring. Dont think i'd run my car at high boost with alcohol thats been sitting for months.
