Just found out 1000 bucks got stolen out of my tool box. Ive been the only person here at my work for some time...the only employee left, so there was nothing wrong in my mind about having it here. There is also an awesome alarm system and no one has ever broken in. There is a new owner for the building, and we are in the process of moving. A couple weekends ago, the new owner brought some scumbags in here to put new doors on the building. I wasnt here and he didnt bother to tell me they were going to be here. The owner didnt even know the code to the building, so he just unplugged it when he came in. So god knows if anyone has even broken in here since. The only people that knew about the alarm being disabled were these door guys. Im gunna get to the bottom of this and heads are gunna roll. This is bull****.

Can't say as I blame you. I would feel the same way.
Hey, btw, I haven't seen your car at Donut Derelicts early saturday morning car hangout yet. I figured that by now, you would have played "Show and Tell" and brought it there. I am down there most Saturday mornings, very early, generally with my Z06, but sometimes with my Turbo-T.
Come down and join us some Saturday morning.

Whats donut derelicts? I dont think my car is really ready to show off. It needs outer weatherstripping and some other things. Its by no means an awesome GN, compared to most of the others Ive seen on here. It definetely needs work. And now thanks to mr. theif, i wont be getting some of the things i had hoped for.:(

Donut Derelicts is a donut shop that is in a strip mall at the corner of Magnolia & Adams in Huntington Beach, On Magnolia, about halfway between the 405 & PCH on Adams. Holds about 100 + cars and fills up by about 7:30 AM on a good Saturday. My '87 Turbo-t is not exactly what you would call show-ready either, but draws it share of attention there. Hit "Donut Derelicts" in your search mode, or look at some of it's previous shows on
>www.socalcarculture.com<.
Every Saturday, & only on Saturdays.
Brent, right?

Yup, its Brent. thats quite a drive for me, but hopefully I can make it there one of these days. Thanks for the invite.

I have to ask the obvious...why would you keep 1000 dollars in an unlocked tool box at work?

That seems not so bright to me...but hey...what do I know.

My question exactly !! Sorta like walking around with a grand hanging halfway out of your back pocket . That does suck though. Hope you find out who did it but chances are.........

donut delirics is a great little drive in the morning, but i dont think is worth getting up at 5am just to show up there see a few cars and then leave, just my 02's...

That question is the obvious....why the hell did I have it in there. Of course it was stupid. But after 7 years of being in a very safe and comfortable environment, where no one would ever steal from you, its easy to take certain things, like trust, for granted. To be honest, I wasnt even thinking about that money that was in there. I confronted the new owner and he just said, that sucks...you should claim it so the business insurance pays for it. What an ass

You're paying rent for a building that has an alarm system, by him unplugging it, it could be a breach of contract and you could sue him. Depends on your contract.
