Hey Mark or Bruce. I ordered a bunch of parts and there were no directions for the alto wide band ,adj pin and billet servo. Is there a prodedure for adjusting the band? Thanks, Paul

Hi Paul, give me a call or an e mail and I will walk you thru the adjussting set up. Not a biggie. Thanks, Mark :D

I have noticed a trend here..if you or Bruce "answer" a trans question, it is only to tell people to call. I am glad you are answering the phone and are willing to spend time talking to people one on one, but if you spend a few minutes typing a response, it may benefit others.

That may be the "once done, once handled" thing Kendall, but the only problem is, that is a one way conversation and doesn't give us a chance for an exchange and ability to answer things completely. Yes, the phone does take time, but it keeps me in a job. And it is all about me isn't it? LMAO. Seriously though, it is more consumming of time, but it helps us cover all things at once. In the long run, that saves us time, and is better customer service. If you have any questions, you feel free to call also. thanks, Mark :D

The generic answer for your question in general Kendall is the band adjustment is .015" (on all sides of the band) or if you install the servo shims until you can't get the retainer clip into the trans housing, then remove the last shim and you should have the proper clearance. I hope that helps. Mark :D

THanks for the reply Mark. That's the reason I posted, I didn't want to tie you guys up on the phone, but if it keeps you working, I'll give you a call every now and then.:D I'll use the can't install the retainer clip method and let you know.

Thanks, Paul

I kept Burce on the phone for an hour on this one. Well actually only about ten minutes, the other 50 was just chat; that cat likes to talk, makes me feel guilty knowing how much work you guys have.

Bruce also mentioned the feel in the output shaft method. Add shims untill the output shaft gets hard to turn by hand.

I know what you mean, I talked to him a couple of months ago, and we were talking about all kinds of stuff. Thanks for the info Steve, BTW, I got my trans in today with everything except the servo, I'll keep you posted, and cross your fingers that it works:D
