Do you stack frictions and steels the same as a stock piston when using an aluminum piston in the direct drum? Could a friction be placed against the piston in an effort to get more in? I'm a newby in the tranny rebuilding area.
Thanks for any help
Randy

Yes you stack them the same way and NO you cannot put a friction up against the piston.

You can get thinner frictions and steels if you want extras for more surface area.

Do not use a factory aluminum pistons they are crack prone. A few vendors sell an aftermarket one.

Thanks for the info. Planning to put aftermarket aluminum pistons in both the forward and direct drums on next freshen up.

He's a one man show with plenty of hats :) Super product though.
