Aluminum transmission lines Yes or NO ???

would it be safe to use aluminum lines for the transmission?
i want to reroute my lines and steel is a pain to bend in some of them tight spots.
thanks for your help

A MUCH better option would be to use stainless braided lines. :)

Aluminum is much more likely to beak under vibration, but if it was a track only car I'd use it. Since it's a DD I wouldn't even think about it.
 
How much pressure does these see? I was told that they are not very hi. I replaced mine about 5 years ago with rubber hydraulic hose and have not seen a problem.
 
Typical cooler line pressures are around 40 psi. They can be as much as 100 psi. Run of the mill rubber fuel line is a NO NO. High pressure line should be used.
