This is a Precision, not a PTC, these are 2 different companies.
A Precision, the purple one, can be a multi-disk or single disk converter. I have had more problems with these than all other converters total.
My first encounter with one of the POS converters was in 1999. It was locked up so tight, the GN would not even roll. Happened a few more time through the years.
Just changed my purple converter this past week that I got from Brian H. and it was a POS. Same symptoms as stated above! I got in touch with Dusty and he hooked me up. So far this converter feels auwsume.
Tv cable is good checked adjustment its fine never moved it from its place when I had the intake off!! I even played around with the cable and no change I just think the convertor is done. When I bought the car it was running like crap and I was breaking tires. At 30mph now I have to be at 3800 rpm for the car to get moving . Am going to take nicks advise and go with a covertor we talked with the stall I need for my set up I can't go wrong with nicks advice
I have a 6157 and a 10" LU converter, stock cam. Stalls at 3200. Seems to have turbo lag. I need to restall it. Most people seem to like 2800. Do you know what yours stalls at?
