Well said Patrick!!!!! I know Jason, also, and he's been at it a while. I'm glad it's working out for him. No one accidently runs 9's with a 109.

Wow, thanks for that reply. I did have this engine put together for the purpose of a 9 sec slip. I do have FAST and will be working with Jack Cotton on the tune. Im looking at a bigger turbo, Im not in the position to run at more than 1 TSM event so keeping it in those guidlines arent a worry for me. While it was apart, I did a ton of suspension work, isnt a pice on there that isnt new, and I didnt skimp there either. I have an Eagle crank and K1 rods, .040 over Diamond pistons. I can use this season to get some seat time since upgrading the turbo isnt going to happen until next fall. Looks like I have a line on the slicks now, with 5 passes on them, gonna need a bigger wheel though, I think the 8" wheel will be to narrow for them 10.50s

Doesn't Sully have a stroker?

Yes, he does now. He ran nines last year with a stock bottom end and an old style turbo. He's consistantly in the nines now.

I'd also like to see some data logs but I don't think people will be so kind as to share them. :D

I doubt you'll ever see a serious TSM racer's data log with all the data still showing. If you are in BG I'll be happy to show you the logs of the boost psi and the boost controller psi.(They are about 1psi differences between them)

FWIW I ran 10.30s at BG last year with 19 psi with a 234ci 109 with heavy TRW pistons, stock rods, and a BMS crank. If the u joint wouldn't have broken with 24 psi, there definately would have been a nine second pass.

Nice laundry list of mods, you definitely have some $$ in it to turn the #.

Roll cage like another post said.

With Jack Cotton tuning you have one of the best helping you!!
I personally would make sure you get the WOT Wide Band A/F ratio lock in the Fast, good insurance at minimum.

You still have some pounds to drop, if interested you can PM me for my laundry list of weight saving tips. I still have the stock heads, block and crash beams and am 412lbs down with about 50lbs left to drop this year.

. :D

Like I said in the post, year before LAST he ran 9's with a STOCK bottom end! There are several "stock" bottom end cars running 9.90's etc...

I have learned, the hard way, that buying a list of parts does not put you in the nine's. It does take the right combo and the right man tuning that combo to put you there!
