I just had to order a .005 US timing chain to get cam timing right. Jay offered to pay for it. When I get ready to ship this engine, I will need everyone's help. Some folks said they would help. Been awhile, so have forgot who they were. I'm trying to get this going. Some of the parts donated need a lot of work, though.

Jay are you fly fishing in your avatar?

That is not me in the avatar. It is a man fly fishing yes. It also says "dont tell me what I can't do!" I do fish from my chair, along with many other things. I used to fly fish before my accident and now my shoulder could never take it i dont think, but I would love to try it again.
 
Timing chain is here. Let's see how far I get this weekend. I dodged the overtime bullet for sat/sun. Next weekend I will have to be voluntold, though.
Heads are ready to bolt on, and the timing cover should be ready, too. The intake needs to be drilled and tapped for the fuel rail, and made purdy. The oil pan has a front baffle welded in place and a coat of paint added. I will use a cork gasket, too. Thanks to all who have donated parts.
 
Timing cover is now ready for assembly. Ported, cleaned, and painted aluminum. Thrust surface machined for cam thrust. As received, it was not flat.

The valve cover offer fell through. He forgot he already sold them. So I still need valve covers or spacers if anyone has a set they would donate. If so, thanks.

Here is the manifold after a few hours of clean up and porting. And a coat of DE1615 Duplicolor aluminum paint. Not the perfect porting I try to do, but going all out doesn't seem to make any more power.

Oil pan with front baffle to keep oil in the sump during hard braking. And a pic of the detailed temp sensors and upper radiator hose hold down. Now the fun begins, finishing it all up.

Timing chain (.005" oversize) studs installed, and cylinder head installed. Getting close. An offer was made for Champion valve covers, and waiting for a PM to make it work. I might have to have them ship them to Jay. I can ship the engine with out valve covers installed.
