This makes me soo angry!! Being the onwer of a dog myself and a friend of most animals, people like that make me so sick! I really agree with Russ' attitude. How the fu** can a spend a day with a friend and decide "hey, let's go and hunt a dog til its dead!" what is wrong with these people? Unfortunately, since pets are still regarded as property and at least over here by law treated as things with additional rights there is not much ground to arrest them. Like so often the law is not sufficient

I really wasn't trying to put hunitng down and my intention was certainly not to offend anybody except these sickos. I don't want to get into a discussion about hunting either and if it is cruel of not. I DO make a difference between hunting as a real sport where I expect that wild animals are killed in a quick and humane matter (but I really don't know) and what these scums were doing to a pet! So, sorry for not specifying.

I think the reason is laws are already on the books to protect humans. Whether or not those laws are enforced is another issue. The animals rarely have legal protection and in even less circumstances when the laws do exist do the criminals get a blemish on their records let alone a well deserved prison sentence.

I would have said the same thing if it would have been a human being tortured to death! But at least I know that the laws would actually be applicable in an appropriate matter. I don't think I'm in anyway over sensitive about cruelty to animals and I'm certainly not a "tree hugger" but there is just so much I can accept and what happened here is way out of line.

I'm sure you didn't mean to offend anybody but I would be more careful with your presumptions of what people would critizes and what not.

Because picking on an animal is like picking on a little kid, real gutless.

If 2 guys tried to tie you to a tree and shoot an arrow at you, you would be capable of stopping it. Most people can defend themselves to some degree.

And by the way, only humans kill for fun.
