I just want to confirm based on the instructions that the CK 3-4 accumulator spring and piston assembly go in opposite order from the stock setup. The spring no longer goes into the bore first with the piston on top but instead the new piston goes in first, then the spring, then the plate?

When the piston goes in first (spring against plate) there is accumulator action. You don't want a harsh 4th. If it is in lockup and 4th is applied with a higher throttle angle, and it hits hard, you could blow the back window out. No reason for 4th to be a hard shift with the .67 ratio. I used to always use the 727 accumulator spring in the 4th acc circuit way back when. I have even seen some 2004Rs with a TH350 3rd accumulator spring in there. Pretty harsh with that setup also. Chris' kit does a VERY good job.

Thanks, I stuck with Chris' instructions and built it accordingly. Then I left a message for Chris after I put the whole thing together complete except for fluid thinking I would wait till tomorrow for Chris to return my call. He actually checked his messages on Sunday and called me back this afternoon on a holiday weekend no less. He confirmed that I built it correct. and answered my questions. I filled it up with fluid, drove it and everything works perfect. Chris at CK is a helluva vendor! Thanks.
