What size NITTO 555R tire is equivilent to a 10.5 in. ET Street? I am running Weld Prostar wheels, but don't know the backspacing off hand. Frame is not notched, and fender lip is not rolled, and I now have 12.5in MT Sportsman Pros on now with a spacer(a little rubbing on turns sometimes). I can't really distinguish the numbers like "275-50-15" for these tires...

Let Me Know.

,Thanks -DC

275 means 275mm which is supposed to be the width.

275/25.4 = 10.8 of the tire (the actual width is 11.1)

the 50 means the tire section height is 50% of the tire width or 5.4 inchs.

So the total tire heigh is approximately 15" (the wheel height) Plus 2 times the tire section heights, or 15" + 2 X 5.4" = 25.8" tall.

ET Streets are measured similarly, where the 10.5 is the tire width and not the tread width (on a real slick, 10.5 is the tread width)

If this is too confusing,

Just compare the actual sizes of the tires to each other:

Nitto Drag Radial sizes

BFG Drag Radial sizes

ET Sreet Sizes
