Antanna cable removal

im Having trouble disconnecting the power antanna cable . I have my fender removed but I can't seem to pull them apart. It fells like it has a spring but I can only push in and not out. I can twist it but not pull apart.
What's the Trick ?

if your talking about the coax cable just disconnect it at the curved flange on the mast 2 small phillips screws much easier
